Well, guess what I found in this week's episode of Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri?



"The Castle" returns! If they use it for Ohno's drama, too, I will laugh so hard.

Holy Jesus, they're making a live-action Rurouni Kenshin. That was one of my favorite anime and manga back in the days. My username came from an episode of Rurouni Kenshin. The only names I recognize from the cast are Sato Takeru as Kenshin and Aoi Yuu as Megumi. I have literally not seen Sato Takeru act since Princess Princess D, which is not a good drama to judge acting on. And I personally think that Aoi Yuu is too young, innocent and baby-faced for Megumi. But we'll see.

Please, Japan, don't ruin this classic for me. I know that there are so many ways you can, but try your hardest not to.

I now kinda wanna rewatch episodes of RK. Oro!

Can you tell I'm trying to avoid doing any work?

You know you've watched too many dramas when the same building starts popping up everywhere. It's like they have simply run out of places to film.

This castle is freakin' everywhere. It is Japan's default drama building.

You know how certain acronyms can stand for a lot of different things? Med school has definitely made me see that.

Do you have any idea how confused I was reading through medical charts before I learned this new lingo? Try to interpret something like this:

HPI: Denies CP, SOB, f/c/n/v/d.

PE:
Gen: NAD, A&Ox3
HEENT: NCAT, PERRLA, EOMI, MMM
CV: RRR, no m/r/g
Resp: CTAB, no r/r/w
GI: ND, +BS, TTP in RUQ, no HSM, no CVA tenderness
Ext: WWP, no c/c/e, CR <2 sec, 2+ DP and PT

This is literally what most progress notes look like in patients' charts. Do you have your decoder ring on you?

Jin has a twitter. I'm not even a Jin fan, nor do I have a twitter account, but I kinda wanna follow him. It's fun seeing him and Shirota Yu go back and forth between their twitters. Apparently he is a fan of Lea Salonga and got hooked up with some Chicago Bears season tickets. Random? And I approve.

Just started on a new rotation. I don't want to work anymore. Someone find me a rich husband so I can quit all this.

I have realized that I am a dork of epic proportions.

Just a little background: I used to be really obsessed with anime and Orlando Bloom. Those obsession eventually led me to JE (don't ask me how) so I blame them for my current fangirliness.

But anyway, the most recent movie that Orlando was in was New York, I Love You. He was only in it for about 7 mins so I just downloaded that clip to watch for now. And while scraggly Orlando is adorable and I really liked his character, there was something else that captured my attention.
